As the voluntary carbon market is still in its early stages, we are seeking a dynamic and creative Sales Manager to join our team and drive the adoption of our products in the market.

Join us as the Nature-based Business Development Manager, responsible for promoting and selling our range of nature based offset products to companies seeking to invest in climate adaptation and mitigation. Educate potential customers on the benefits of nature-based VCS credits, guide product selection, and develop tailored compensation plans. Success requires creativity, determination, and persuasive communication skills.

  • Enhance and establish a robust sales strategy to optimize revenue generation and drive business growth;
  • Drive sales and effectively execute the sales strategy to achieve sales targets;
  • Developing proposals for prospective project partners and corporate clients;
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations, including sustainability managers, HR managers, and executives;
  • Training business development and commercial staff;
  • Educate clients on the concept of nature-based VCS credits and their environmental benefits;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to the voluntary carbon market. This is partly done by visiting sustainability events;
  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth;
  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.

Profile and skills:
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in a related field such as sustainability, environmental services, or renewable energy;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade potential clients;
  • Creative mindset to develop persuasive sales strategies and tailor compensation plans to meet client needs;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
  • Communication skills: you are confident/near native with the English and Dutch language and rely on open and clear communication;
  • Time-management skills: targets must be reached as effectively and efficiently as possible;
  • Negotiations and deal making skills: you can handle the responsibility of making strategic decisions and have a long-term view;
  • Understanding of Voluntary Carbon Market is a pre;
  • Drive and self-motivation: if its worth doing, its worth doing right and big! We are looking for highly motivated people that want to be on the forefront of battling the climate crisis.
