In order to replace a colleague leaving on maternity leave, we are looking for a Legal professional to be based in our Utrecht office to strengthen our team (3 people) and to handle internal legal tasks. You will be part of a unified and close-knit team which prides itself on its transparency and proactivity.
Working style (and dress code) in Utrecht is casual, though professional we work from a beautiful canal house in Utrecht city center, with daily lunches served in the kitchen (or in the garden in Summer!), combined with working remotely from home (up to 2 days per week).
Introduction to the role
You will be responsible for the execution of the following tasks for several of our Group entities:
Supporting the legal team with day-to-day internal legal tasks
Resolving legal matters and assisting on project development matters, especially in relation to solar PV and storage projects in the Netherlands
Assisting in drafting and reviewing a range of agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, mandate letters, cooperation agreements, land lease agreements and various corporate documents
Assisting in our partner commercial efforts regarding contracting and project development work, which includes preparing presentations and supporting documents
Directly report to all legal team members, relevant department heads and project managers on a range of legal and non-project related tasks
Working in a young, fun and entrepreneurial spirit on a daily basis on exciting and challenging renewable energy projects, within an environment where we invest in peoples personal development and growth!

Requirements
We would be happy to get to know you, if you have:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- A Bachelor degree (if obtained in the Netherlands: wo) in law or similar qualification
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate:
A hands-on mentality and eagerness to take on legal challenges
Ability to take initiatives and take responsibility of allocated tasks
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) – besides being fluent in Dutch and English, an additional language such as French or German would be a great plus
Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and have strong organizational skills
Experience in using MS Office software
Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment
Willingness to learn and develop new skills and have a flexible work style
Interest in renewable energy, project development, financial concepts and products
Interest in working in cross-border teams
Are a flexible and resourceful multi-tasker, with a good sense of humor!
Package and application
This position is to be filled on 7-months contract of 32 to 40-hour weekly, from mid-June 2023 until mid-January 2023, with a compensation package which is competitive with local market practice (30 paid leave days on annual basis, company-sponsored pension, transportation compensation, lunch provision, annual team trips, etc.).
